Music Related
What music do you play? All Genres, 40’s to up to date. Theme nights and festive occasions. Take a look at our Equipment and Event Ideas Sections for further details
How does Olympic DJ know what tracks are where? We have a comprehensive professional DJ software package that is updated daily with all new tracks.
What tracks will Olympic DJ play during the event? Through our experience we have a wealth of knowledge of what works, when and how long. A proportion of the event will be popular music for everyone and the other proportion will be your requests. Together giving you a mixture of a personal selection and added tracks that you may of forgot about and everyone likes.
What volume does Olympic DJ play at? We vary our volume according to your event. Typically we find early on, that people like to chat. Gradually through the event we will progress the show to the right volume level accordingly, to set a good happy medium to allow people to dance, chat and relax.
Will you except & play requests at the event? Our DJ’s will. Our DJ’s experience shows in their handling of request taking and being able to be honest with you and your guests if a chosen track is far from suitable for the occasion.
If the paying customer say’s “NO”, then that’s what our DJ’s stick to: ie “No Line dance music please”. Our DJ’s will not play line dancing music at the guest requests and will appropriately explain why.
How do we choose our first dance & will you help? We are more than willing to help choose, or find the track you are specifically looking for your first dance. We will even allow you to download it to your own PC (for a limited period), to check it is exactly the right track and version.
Can I check if you have a track before hand? Yes you can, just send us your play list and we will confirm all tracks to you, before hand.
What if I don’t want certain types of music to be played? As mentioned above, if you DO NOT want certain types of music played at your event, please let us know.

What am I getting? What ever you want, all details will be confirmed in a booking confirmation.
Does Olympic DJ have any references? Yes we do and we can supply you with references at your request. We also now have a blog area up and running, Please either look at our Customer Feedback page or at our Olympic DJ Blog Area
What happens if Olympic DJ is ill and cannot attend? We have never failed to attend an event, however if we did become ill and were unable to attend we would do everything we could to make sure you were not let down.
What happens if Olympic DJ breaks down on way to my event? We only use fully serviced and breakdown covered vehicles for our business. We also leave base with plenty of time to ensure we are not caught up in anything. Both together we feel is a pretty strong backup plan.

Does Olympic DJ only provide disco’s? No! We have a lot of entertainment experience and therefore are able to provide other services, like karaoke, foam parties and much more, including consultation and sales of installation & DJ entertainment equipment.
What areas does Olympic DJ cover? We cover all of Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Devon, Cornwall. We general stick to Dorset though as it is the most efficent way we can operate.
We have performed in counties such as Hampshire, Somerset, Wiltshire, Devon, Cornwall, Surrey. We also have performed in The Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, but not yet Scotland, maybe in the future.
Bookings
Will Olympic DJ be able to provide a valid contract of services? We are happy to provide a confirmation of services to you, as a contract of the services we are to provide you. This will have details of your personal requirements, timings, any logistical matters & any deposits taken and total monies for our services. This is also has our full contact details & terms & conditions of our services and is our promise to you that you wont be let down with a last minute cancellation.
Will Olympic DJ Play background music if required? Yes we will and often do to start an event with background music.
Will Olympic DJ Introduce guests & speakers? We are always happy to introduce on your behalf, we understand that some people are not so confident in speaking to audiences, so can do that for you.
Will Olympic DJ keep talking on the microphone all night? Generally we do not. We only use the microphone for short announcements, "like the buffets ready", or introduction of guests or speakers. We may say a few words during the event to introduce ourselves and to react with your guests.
Will Olympic DJ be willing to over run if needed? Yes we will, as long as the event manager is happy to do so. However please be aware that some licensing laws & neighbours may not permit loud music going on after a pre arranged or scheduled period, so we may have to turn the music down appropriately.
How long does Olympic DJ need to setup its Road Show? This all depends on the size of the roadshow, access to the venue & distance from vehicle to venue. If we to give a rough estimate it would be at least 1.5 hours, for our silver road show and about 2.5 hours for our platinum road show.
How does Olympic DJ cope with medical suffers at it’s events? Our complete roadshow is of a very high specification, this means that we have full control over all the lighting and sound elements of the road show, which in turn can reduce or eliminate any suffering.
Suffers of epilepsy or heart conditions that are effected by high speed or large flashing or strobe lighting, are just asked to make us aware and we will adjust our sound and lights accordingly to suppress any effects that our equipment may have.
Money Matters
How much will Olympic DJ charge? Our services are dependant on what you require, size of disco and time you require for. Quotations are available, just Contact Us
How much deposit is required? We require a 50% deposit to secure your date and inturn will send you our confirmation of services.
Does Olympic DJ have a set price list? Our roadshows do have a set price list and we do offer discounts on these prices if you book via Yell.com & repeat referrals, however as with nearly all businesses reserve the right to remove discounts prior to confirmation without notice.
Is Olympic DJ Tax registered? Yes all Olympic DJ is Tax registered as a business, trading under Nemasis Promotions.
Why is Olympic DJ cheaper than other DJ services? We feel our services are competitive and fair.
Why is Olympic DJ more expensive than other DJ services? We offer a professional and experienced service, for which there are costs to do so, such as Public Liability Insurance, equipment maintenance, logistical cost and business running costs. Some DJ services you may find will be cheaper, but we feel you get what you pay for.
Legal & Safety
Does Olympic DJ have a valid Public Liability Certificate? Yes, proof can be provided upon request.
How often does Olympic DJ have it’s PAT test? Annually
What precautionary measures will Olympic DJ take to ensure our safety? PAT testing, health and safety awareness and liaison with the events manager to ensure you and your guest safety at all times.
